The Wild and Wacky Water Caper

Episode 6: More Irrelevancy?

Yeah, no reason to do that at all. I'm aware this isn't the first time I've pulled this gag either.

Alright! Up the stairs to floor seven we go so that we can get to Chief Geordi's office to get the warrant and...

"OH THERE YOU GUYS ARE!!!!"

What trouble did we get in now?

"Oh yeah," exuded Chief Geordi in that kind of angry and mildly sarcastic manner that well... you know what I'm trying to say. And yes, I used the word exude, because not only did he say "Oh yeah," but the expression of it poured out of his body in a way that exuded the anger expressed in the previous sentence. It was sort of a big time kind of deal here. We really messed up, and I don't yet know how.

"Yeah. I bet you think you could just get away with that little stunt you pulled didn't you? Oh boy, yeah, look at you. Your little brains coggin' it up trying to think of what you even did. Oh, I'll bet you just can't figure it out, can you? You just tryin' 't think of what it is you done wrong, isn't you?"

Goodness he's angry. He usually tries to use the most proper form of grammar that he possibly can while he's at work. We done really screwed up, and I can't think of what we've done to him at all... unless...

"Yeah, don't you remember what you done did yet? Ain't it comin' to ya? Yeah, that's it. Your little, 'Yeah, just go on ahead and talk to Cheif Geordi. He's up on floor seven and doesn't need any peace whatsoever. He can just go rounds and rounds about your missing son all day long, no problem! Yeah, he's the guy to go to cause we can't do our jobs and just find the boy already!'"

"OH YOU THINK I CAN'T DO MY JOB NOW?!?!?" Boy, he really touched the wrong nerve with Cynthia. "OKAY! LOOK! THAT BOY WENT MISSING BACK IN 2010, AND BELIEVE ME I TRIED EVERYTHING THAT I COULD TO FIND HIM! IT'S BEEN WHAT??? SEVEN OR EIGHT YEARS NOW??? WHAT LEADS ARE EVEN LEFT TO EXPLORE? TELL ME, HUH? WHAT LEADS ARE EVEN LEFT??? COME ON, WHAT???"

Well... uh... I don't... I don't even... Um...

Geordi sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm... I'm very sorry. I really should not have gone there."

"OH! SHOULDN'T YOU HAVE?"

Yeah, I'm gonna have to step in. "Cynthia, please. Mrs. Hickleflour gets to all of us. Geordi, I'm sorry that you had to deal with her too. We didn't know what else to do and I'm sorry."

"Fair enough. I guess I understand why she's upset. If my son had just disappeared like that, I'd be a bit crazy too. I just don't know what more we can do, you know? I mean, what is left? I got her on AkPS, thinking that might help, but I've got no clue if that'll lead to anything or not."

"AkPS?"

"Arkwood Pond Social. It's this new GNU Social node that's been set up for people in Arkwood Pond and the surrounding area. It's invite only, ATM, but you can get on by applying at the newspaper stand on the first floor. I'm thinking of making all the staff get an account."

"Oh great." Cynthia did not look happy, although I couldn't tell of that was due to this news, or residual from the previously in the conversation.

"Anyway, what brings you up to my office?"

"Well, we need a warrant"...

You know how it goes from here, but what will he do with the warrant? Find out in the next chapter of, THIS STORY! *cue dramatic music and whatnot*
